Why M&N

Quality you can see and feel.

We specialize in pole barns and nothing else, so every build gets the full attention of a crew that does this every day.

01

Amish Craftsmanship

Built by skilled Amish crews using post-frame techniques passed down through generations. Every joint and beam is done right the first time.

02

Premium Materials

Quality lumber, metal siding, and hardware chosen to stand up to Midwest weather, season after season.

03

Fully Custom

Every dimension, door, window, and finish is built to your exact specs. You design it, we build it.

Built to outlast

Most pole barns fail at the ground. Ours do not.

A post rots where soil moisture meets air, right at the grade line. We sleeve every post to seal out that moisture, so the structure that holds up your building keeps holding for decades.

Traditional post

Moisture and air attack the post at the water table. That is the failure point that shortens the life of an ordinary build.

M&N protected post 50+ year lifespan

A sleeve protector seals the post through the grade line, keeping moisture out and the structure sound for the long haul.

FAQ

Questions you might have.

It depends on the size, the finishes, and your site. Square footage, eave height, concrete, doors, windows, insulation, and site prep all move the number, so the only accurate figure is a quote built around your exact plan. We give you a free, detailed, itemized quote before any work begins, so you know what your project costs up front with no surprises.

A pole barn (also called post-frame construction) uses large poles or posts buried in the ground or mounted on a foundation as the primary structural support. Unlike stick-built buildings that rely on a traditional foundation and stud-framed walls, pole barns are faster to build, more cost-effective, and can span wider openings without interior support columns. They're ideal for agricultural, residential, and commercial use.

M&N Quality Construction serves Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio. We build custom pole barns throughout the region. If you're unsure whether your location falls within our service area, give us a call at (419) 438-9091 and we'll let you know.

It depends on the size and complexity of the build, plus permitting, site prep, and weather. Rather than quote a generic timeline, we give you a realistic schedule for your specific project during the quoting process, and we keep you updated as the build moves along.

Untreated posts can rot right at the grade line, where soil moisture meets air. That is the most common failure point in post-frame buildings. We sleeve every post to protect it at the grade line, which is how our buildings are built to last 50 years or more.

Most areas in Ohio and Indiana require a building permit for pole barn construction. Permit requirements vary by county and municipality. M&N Quality Construction can assist you with the permitting process or handle it on your behalf, so you don't have to navigate the paperwork alone.

Amish built pole barns are constructed using time-tested techniques focused on structural integrity and quality materials. Our Amish builders bring generations of construction expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to craftsmanship that you won't find with mass-production builders. Every joint, every beam, and every finish is done right the first time.

Absolutely. Every pole barn we build is fully customizable. You choose the dimensions, eave height, exterior finish (metal or wood siding), concrete floor options, garage doors, windows, walk-in doors, porches, and optional add-ons like roof snow guards, wainscot, gutters, and downspouts. We build it exactly how you want it.

Yes. We offer full concrete floors and perimeter slab options for all our pole barns. A concrete floor adds durability, makes the space easier to maintain, and is especially important for garages, workshops, and commercial applications. We'll discuss the best concrete option for your intended use during the planning phase.
